  • What we’ve been up to?

    The site, as you may have noticed, has been a bit quiet the last few weeks. Don’t worry, we didn’t go anywhere we’ve just been in heads down mode! Here are a few things we’ve got going on . . .

    Armies on Parade is just around the corner and we’re planning to make a splash at the Warhammer shop in NYC. Jason, Max, Tim T., Leo, Joe (and maybe more) all have plans to showcase their work. Be sure to swing by and check it out this Saturday, November the 4th. We’ll be sure to keep our Instagram updated throughout the day and we’ll be sure to post here too afterwards. We know Jason has plans for a behind-the-scenes post about his board creation.

    That’s not the only big event you can catch us at in November! On the weekend of the 11th, we’ll be at the Clash4Vets tournament in Parsippany, NJ. Tim T. has been working with his crew at the North Jersey Wargamers to put on this ITC tournament and megabattle and he’ll also have some awesome work up for auction. Quite a few of the crew will be in attendance participating in the tournament as well!

    With the end of the year fast approaching, we’re also starting to plan our our annual Yearhammer Apocalypse bash. It’s gonna be bigger and crazier than ever!

  • NOVA Open 2017

    Heading to the NOVA open this weekend? Be sure to swing by the Shapeways booth to say Hi to Shane! He’ll be there showing off his incredible custom Imperial Knight designs including the Wolf Knight and Custodes Knight!

    We’ve just posted our three entries for our 2nd Paint Off challenge to our Instagram account. Head over today to like your favorite Eldrad paint job. On Wednesday, we’ll reveal which of our members painted which model and reveal the model that received the most likes! Vote Now!

    When Tim found out he was one of the five winners of Inner Circle this year, one of the prizes was being flown down to Dallas to get some inside scoop on 8th edition and other goodies. Amongst the other goodies was being interviewed by the team down there. Today, the Inner Circle Facebook page updated with his talk. Check it out!

    Paint Off II – Kickoff

    We’re excited to announce our second Paint Off challenge!

    After our first Paint Off challenge, a random follower on Instagram was asked to pick what faction we should paint next. Eldar was picked and the winner, Max, picked the model we’ll all be painting. His choice: Eldrad Ulthran!

  • The new Brookhammer website!

    It’s Here! Our new home on the web.

    Previously, we ran our site using Tumblr (it’s still available for older posts as we migrate over), but we wanted more available tools and flexibility to allow us to grow our site even more. Easier to read tutorials, more photos of our finished models, the ability to comment and heck, maybe more goodies to come later.

    There’s gonna be some dust while we transfer to the new home, porting over older posts and tweaking our layout as we go so hang in there.

  • Tim Wins Inner Circle!

    The nationwide winners for Inner Circle were announced today and ….. Tim’s amazing display landed him a big win! Yep, he’s just 1 of 5 displays that took it all home! He’ll be flying down to Dallas for super secret goodness in a few weeks along with the other four finalists.

    Congrats Tim, make us proud!

    Games Workshop’s Inner Circle event kicked off this year at our local Warhammer shop in NYC. It was a SOOOOAKING wet day but Tim and Max made it up to show off their work. We even made friends with Alejandro at the event (look forward to seeing more of his work to come!). Here are a few photos from the event…

    Today, we’re excited to kick off our first (of hopefully many) Paint Off challenges…

    Over the course of the next month, the crew will be painting up some Tau Crisis Suits seeing how each interprets The Greater Good. Jason, Max, Shane, and Andrew are all on board and ready to sling some paint!
